The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Corporation (NATSIEC) is the peak body for First Nations education in Australia, across all stages of the education journey.

To be the united, national voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education, empowering communities to lead, coordinating and advocating for Indigenous education, ensuring that our communities’ knowledge, perspectives, and aspirations are realised in education policy and practice across Australia. NATSIEC’s purpose is deeply rooted in the legacy of IECBs, reflecting their principles of community control and self-determination in education.
A culturally safe, inclusive education system where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people shape their own pathways to self- determined success across all levels of lifelong learning. This vision builds on decades of community-led work by IECBs, which have advocated for self-determined pathways in education.
